Babasónicos celebró sus 20 años a lo grande en el Caupolicán

Ayer en la noche Babasónicos festejó en el Teatro Caupolicán sus dos décadas de trayectoria ante 4.5oo personas, con un show que se extendió por casi 2 horas y contó con temas tanto de sus primeros discos como de los más recientes.

El show comenzó con el teloneo de Javiera Mena a eso de las 21:30 horas, con una presentación que duró alrededor de 40 minutos. Luego se apagaron las luces, y mientras sonaba música de fondo el escenario se preparaba para el esperado concierto de Babasónicos.

La música cesó y en la pantalla gigante del escenario se leía con letras blancas “Babasónicos”, al parecer la larga espera estaba por terminar. Uno a uno fueron subiendo los 7 músicos (recordemos que hace poco se sumó Tuta Torres  en el bajo y Carca pasó a las percusiones), el último en subir fue Adrián Dárgelos quien dio inicio a la gran celebración de los 20 años de su banda con Tormento, tema del reciente disco A Propósito.

En pocos minutos sonaron dos temas antiguos, esos que muchos echan de menos en las presentaciones actuales pero que ayer pudieron escuchar y cantar; estamos hablando de Viva Satana! (de Dopadromo, 1996) y Chicos en el pasto (de Pasto, 1992). Mientras tanto Mariano Roger y Diego Tuñón encendían un cigarro, Diego Castellano y Tuta se concentraban en sus respectivos instrumentos,  Carca de pronto se recostaba en el escenario, Diego Uma gesticulaba las letras de las canciones  y Dárgelos coqueteaba con el público femenino que entre gritos le prometía amor eterno.

Sin duda el cantante se llevó todos los aplausos de los asistentes cuando manifestó su apoyo al movimiento estudiantil en Chile y Latinoamérica: “Tengo el deseo, la convicción y la determinación de que haya una educación igualitaria en Chile y en toda Latinoamérica“, dijo antes de que comenzara a sonar la trilogía Muñeco de Haití, El Sultán y Jaula. En seguida siguieron sonando canciones de Infame (2003),  Anoche (2005), Mucho (2008) y A Propósito (2011). Finalmente los encargados de poner fin a la inolvidable velada fueron Chisme de Zorro, El Pupilo y Sátiro.
